About Linc, Inc.

Linc, Inc. owns and operates five printed newspapers and corresponding online news platforms serving the Midlands of South Carolina.

Our publications include:

  • Lake Murray News
  • New Irmo News
  • Northeast News
  • Cayce–West Columbia News
  • New Chapin News

All five are weekly, hyperlocal community newspapers focused on serving the specific needs of their respective communities while promoting engagement and connection throughout the Midlands.

Distribution

All newspapers are printed and distributed every Thursday and Friday to more than 1,200 locations across Richland, Lexington, Saluda and Newberry counties.

Distribution locations include businesses, chambers of commerce, restaurants, medical offices, gas stations, and community waiting areas.

Deadlines

Advertising deadlines are as follows:

  • Display Advertising: 5 p.m. Monday (four days prior)
  • Classified Advertising: 5 p.m. Monday (four days prior)
  • Preprinted Inserts: 5 p.m. Friday (seven days prior)

Advertising Policy

The publisher reserves the right to accept or reject any advertisement. Advertising rates are subject to change with 30 days’ written notice. If a rate change occurs, advertisers may cancel any advertising scheduled prior to the change.

Advertisers assume full responsibility for the content of their advertisements and any claims arising from them.

Classified Advertising

Classified advertising rates are based on a per-line rate (up to 30 characters or spaces per line). Bold type, italics, all-capital letters and similar enhancements count as double lines.

Retail and Display Advertising

Local retail and display advertising rates are based on per column-inch. Most preprinted materials may be inserted at a rate of $55 per thousand.

Nonprofit Rates

A 10% discount is available for advertisements placed by charities, churches, and other nonprofit organizations.

Web Advertising

Banner advertising is available on all five publication websites, with multiple size and placement options. The websites are supported through various social media platforms and collectively reach more than 100,000 monthly.

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time advertising is placed. Certain discounts or billing options may apply if agreed upon in advance by both parties or for organizations that have established credit with Linc, Inc.

A 2.5% monthly finance charge will be applied to balances unpaid after 30 days.
