Ag + Art Tour June 11 – 12

Lexington and Richland County have joined efforts and are now hosting the annual Ag + Art Tour together June 11 – 12.

The Ag + Art tour is part of a larger effort by Clemson University Extension.
The Lexington County tour will feature six sites and Richland County has 11 sites participating. The tour hours are Saturday (10 am-4 pm) and Sunday (1-5 pm). A complete list of the participating farms, markets and artisans can be found at agandarttour.com.

“This free self-guided farm and art tour is a great way to educate people about where their food and fiber comes from, as well as introduce them to local artisans, said Will Culler,” Clemson Extension Agribusiness Agent and Tour Director.

Artisans on the tour range from weavers, painters, musicians, storytellers, metalworkers and craftsmen, to poets and live musical performances. Some of the farms will offer value-added products, such as jarred and canned foods, honey, baked goods or even farm-fresh meals. It is FREE to attend and visitors can start and stop their tour at any location they choose.

“Our regional tourism office is excited to host this event in Lexington and Richland County. Both locals and visitors will enjoy this fun agri-tourism event in our region,” said Miriam Atria, President/CEO of the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board.
