Mark your calendars—Irmo is preparing to celebrate global cultures in a big way at the 5th Annual Irmo International Festival on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Moore Park. Admission and parking are free, making it a perfect family-friendly event for all ages.
Organizers have packed the day with lively stage entertainment, a bustling vendor village, delicious international cuisine, a Kids Zone filled with free activities (including bounce houses, face painting, and balloon art), and a fan-favorite International Car Show.
“The Irmo International Festival is a celebration of the diverse cultures that make our community so special,” said organizers. “This event brings people together through music, food, and shared experiences—it’s truly a day for everyone.”
Performers representing countries such as Brazil, India, West Africa, Colombia, Mexico, Honduras, and more will take the stage throughout the day, bringing a global flair to the heart of Irmo. A colorful walking parade, complete with traditional attire and cultural music, will wind through the park, delighting children and adults alike.
Visitors can also enjoy cultural booths with interactive, hands-on activities, get a henna tattoo, or browse over the many vendors offering artisan goods and unique services from across the globe.
Volunteers are still needed to help make the event a success. Those interested in lending a hand can reach out to organizers at [email protected].
With so much to see, taste, and experience, the Irmo International Festival continues to grow as one of the area’s most beloved spring traditions—an opportunity to celebrate community, diversity, and shared joy right here in the Midlands.
