Area students sign to colleges

By Thomas Grant Jr.

Irmo’s two high schools had a busy National Signing Day.

Irmo and Dutch Fork both had 21 seniors recognized after signing their respective letters of intent. Even early signees like future University of Georgia shortstop Precious Bross took park in the ceremony held at Irmo High School.

Most of the signees were for football with seniors signing with Football Bowl Subdivision schools like Oklahoma State (Jaden Allen-Hendrix) and in-state Football Championship Subdivision schools such as South Carolina State (Tyler Jones) and The Citadel (Terrance Wells).

The spring signing period will begin in April.
