Columbia, S.C. – Join your community on Saturday, June 28, 2025, as the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board (CCLMC) proudly presents the 37th Annual Lake Murray Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by Lexington Medical Center.
This beloved tradition will feature South Carolina’s largest fireworks show, launching at approximately 9:30 p.m. from two locations: Spence Island and Dreher Island. The dazzling display will be synchronized to patriotic music broadcast live on 93.1 The Lake (Midlands Media Group), and the station will be on-site at Dreher Island State Park, entertaining the crowd and enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Rain Date: In case of severe weather (thunder and lightning), the fireworks will be postponed to Sunday, June 29.
