Columbia Children’s Theatre Presents Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr.

Columbia, S.C. – This holiday season, Columbia Children’s Theatre (CCT) is bringing the beloved classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. to the stage, featuring a talented cast of young performers from grades 1–6.

Performances will take place at Brookland-Cayce High School on:

  • Wednesday, November 22, at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 23, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Friday, November 24, at 3 p.m.

Based on the 1964 animated TV special, the show follows Rudolph, Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and their friends as they journey through the North Pole, sharing messages of friendship, self-discovery, and holiday cheer.

Part of CCT’s YouTheatre program, this PB&J (Peanut Butter and Jelly) production showcases the youngest actors in the company. Under the direction of CCT’s Artistic Director Jerry Stevenson, the children have been preparing songs, dances, and sets to transport audiences to a magical holiday world.

“Rudolph is such a treasured holiday story,” Stevenson said. “These young actors bring so much joy to the stage, and it’s wonderful to see their hard work shine.”

“This show is a chance for these kids to grow as performers while spreading holiday cheer,” added Operations Director Sadie Carr.
