School District Five of Lexington & Richland Counties will honor local veterans and support students exploring military careers during two special events on Wednesday, November 12.
The day begins with a Veterans Appreciation Breakfast from 7:30–8:30 a.m. at the Center for Advanced Technical Studies. Military veterans who reside in the District Five community are invited to attend and are encouraged to submit a photo from their time in service to be included in a Wall of Honor slideshow.

That evening, from 6–7:30 p.m., District Five juniors and seniors and their families are invited to meet with representatives from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Military Career Night will give students the opportunity to speak with recruiters and explore post-graduation military pathways.
Both events will take place at the Center for Advanced Technical Studies, located at 916 Mt. Vernon Church Road, Chapin.
