The Yellow Jackets’ all-time leader in catches and receiving touchdowns and an Under Armour All-American, Murph was among 26 seniors signed by the Gamecocks.
“It’s a blessing,” Murph said. “It’s all really coming full circle. I work super hard for this. It’s ablessing for the community, the Columbia community, that I was able to be a Gamecock. They stood behind me, Coach (Shane) Beamer. He’s been standing by me. So, it’s really been great building that relationship with the whole staff and the whole community.”
Other football players who signed letters of intent at Irmo were:
Joseph Albritton, Ryan Love and Matthew Blocker – all with Newberry College
Terin Bowman – Limestone College
In other sports, both Jayllen Fray (baseball) and Arianna Shepherd (lacrosse) signed with Coker University and Elliott Graham will play baseball at USC-Lancaster.
