Dutch Fork High School Welcomes 2025 Hall of Fame Class

IRMO – Dutch Fork High School proudly honored five remarkable individuals with induction into its 2025 Hall of Fame, recognizing their outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to the Silver Fox community. This year’s class includes former athletes, longtime educators, and support staff who have left an enduring mark on the school.

The 2025 Hall of Fame inductees are: Tyler Bass, Roland Hakes, Perrene Henry, Barry Lindler, and Bert Sorin.

  • Tyler Bass (Class of 2015) was a standout kicker for the Foxes and a member of the 2013 State Championship football team. After an impressive collegiate career at Georgia Southern, he now serves as the record-setting kicker for the Buffalo Bills, representing Dutch Fork on the national stage.
  • Roland Hakes earned four State Championships in distance running and was twice named South Carolina Gatorade Athlete of the Year before competing at Clemson University. A U.S. Army Reserves veteran, he continues to inspire through running and community service.
  • Perrene Henry, an original Dutch Fork staff member since the school’s opening in 1992, has spent more than 30 years dedicated to student success. She co-founded the Cinderella Project and advised multiple student organizations, fostering leadership, inclusion, and service.
  • Barry Lindler has served Dutch Fork for over three decades as a teacher, coach, and co-founder of the STEM Honors Magnet Program. As the school’s longest-tenured head coach, he has guided cross country and track teams to multiple titles while shaping generations of students.
  • Bert Sorin (Class of 1995) excelled in track and field at the University of South Carolina, earning four NCAA All-American honors and an SEC championship. Competing at the Olympic Trials and internationally in the Scottish Highland Games, he later became president of Sorinex Exercise Equipment, continuing to support athletics and the military through innovation and service.

The ceremony reflected the school’s tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and service, celebrating individuals who embody the spirit of Dutch Fork High School.
