Brookland-Cayce High School will once again serve as the host site for the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association’s All-Star Games.
The 75th edition of the doubleheader featuring some of the Palmetto State’s top seniors is scheduled for Saturday.
It starts at 1 pm with the girls game. Dutch Fork’s Antoinett Cheesboro and Christyonna Jackson will play for the South team. This will be the second All-Star Game for Jackson, who played this past weekend in the S.C. Hoops Festival’s Capital City Senior Showcase at Heathwood Hall.
The boys’ game will follow at 3 pm. Tickets are $12 and available by visiting https://scbca.hometownticketing.com/embed/event/20.
The weekend kicks off with the SCBCA Post-season banquet Friday at Seawell’s Restaurant in Columbia. Along with the All-Star game selections, this year’s event will recognize the All-State and Player of the Year selections in each classification.
Among the All-State honorees are Region 5-4A Girls Player of the Year Michaela Fairwell, Brea Boyd of Mid-Carolina, Class 5A and Region 5-4A Player of the Year Cam Scott and Jaxon Prunty of state champion Lexington and Darius Elkins of Newberry.
