IRMO, SC – Dutch Fork High School student Cleo Floyd-Johnstone, the current Miss Greenwood’s Teen, is set to compete in the 2025 Miss South Carolina’s Teen Competition, held June 21–28 at Columbia’s historic Township Auditorium.
Though she lives in Irmo, Floyd-Johnstone earned her title through the Greenwood preliminary pageant, qualifying her to represent the Greenwood community on the statewide stage. She is one of 28 young women competing for scholarships and the chance to amplify her community service work and personal platform.
Floyd-Johnstone’s initiative, C.L.E.O. for Cancer, focuses on supporting children affected by a parent’s cancer journey—whether in treatment, remission, or loss. She has served as an Ambassador for the Lonon Foundation, a Charleston-based nonprofit that offers healing resources to kids coping with parental cancer.
Her advocacy work has extended across Irmo, Greenwood, and Charleston, and includes collaboration with MUSC as it seeks designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. She will continue this work during a summer internship in Charleston, furthering her impact as a Cancer Advocate.
“The Miss South Carolina Teen experience celebrates and empowers our next generation of leaders,” said Daja Dial Davidson, Executive Director of Miss South Carolina’s Teen. “This program gives young women the tools, platform, and confidence to drive change in communities across the state.”
When asked about her favorite part of participating, Floyd-Johnstone shared, “The Miss South Carolina Organization gives me the opportunity to share what I am passionate about and make a positive impact on my community.”
The Teen finals will be held June 27, with the Miss South Carolina finals broadcast live at 8 p.m. on Sinclair Broadcast Group stations June 28. Preliminary competitions will take place June 24–26. Visit www.miss-sc.org for more information.
