Three-day event features plants, pumpkins, garden décor and local produce
The South Carolina State Farmers Market will host its annual Fall Plant and Flower Festival October 9-11, offering visitors a variety of seasonal plants, flowers, pumpkins and garden-related items.
One of the market’s largest annual events, the festival welcomed more than 10,000 visitors last fall, with more than 50 vendors participating.
Shoppers can browse fall plants and flowers, pumpkins, home and garden décor, and handmade crafts. Certified South Carolina fall produce also will be available throughout the weekend.
Clemson Extension Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers will be on hand to answer questions and share their expertise with visitors.
Festival hours are Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The South Carolina State Farmers Market is located at 3483 Charleston Highway in West Columbia. Admission and parking are free.
Wagons will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, but visitors are encouraged to bring their own because supplies are limited.
