IRMO — Officers with the Irmo Police Department recently received Whataburger lunches through the Feed an Officer program, made possible by a sponsorship from Midlands Family Chiropractic.
Serve & Connect, the organization behind the program, has provided more than 4,000 meals to law enforcement officers across the Midlands and distributed $20,000 in gift cards to off-duty officers for use at local restaurants.

The program was founded in honor of Officer Gregory Alia, who was killed in the line of duty and is remembered for his service to the community. Dec. 14 is recognized as Officer Gregory Alia Day in Richland County and Forest Acres.
Serve & Connect’s mission is to strengthen relationships between police officers and the communities they serve by encouraging positive interaction and mutual support.
Midlands Family Chiropractic, the local sponsor of the Irmo lunches, is located at 6030 St. Andrews Road. The office can be reached at 803-772-3300.
