FireFire Truck Pull Raises $64,000 for Children’s Cancer Charity Truck Pull

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Strength, teamwork, and community spirit were on full display on March 22 as 32 teams took on the challenge of pulling a fire truck down Hampton Street—all for a great cause.

The 12th annual Fire Truck Pull, a beloved community tradition, raised an impressive $64,000 to benefit Curing Kids Cancer, an organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and treatment.

Among the competitors were two teams from the Columbia-Richland Fire Department and one from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, along with businesses, fitness groups, and local heroes, all battling for the fastest time.

While bragging rights were on the line, the real winners of the day were the children and families fighting cancer. The event was a powerful reminder of how the community can come together to make a difference—one fire truck pull at a time.
