Friday Night Laser Lights returns to museum

Friday Night Laser Lights, sponsored by Columbia Craft Brewing Company, will return to the South Carolina State Museum for the summer starting this Friday, June 18. This popular evening event series will run every third Friday in June, July and August in the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium.

Shows feature a display of lasers choreographed to songs from artists like Elton John and Jimi Hendrix. In addition to laser shows, the event also includes full-dome experiences with CGI visuals set to the music of rock bands, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

Doors open at 6 pm and showtimes are at 6:30 pm, 8 pm, 9:30 pm and 11 pm. The event will also feature local food trucks each Friday, as well as a cash bar with beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Tickets for the general public are $10 for one show and $15 for two shows. Museum member tickets are $8 for one show and $12 for two shows. For health and safety capacity will be limited, so advance online ticket purchase is strongly encouraged. More information and tickets are available at scmuseum.org
