Gateway Baptist Students Serve Community Through Mission Ballentine

Middle school students from Gateway Baptist Church in Irmo spent part of their summer giving back during a community missions weekend known as Mission Ballentine.

From Friday through Sunday in late July, students participated in six different service projects, both indoors and outdoors. One of those projects included volunteering at The Cooperative Ministry’s clothing bank, where the group helped reorganize, clean, and reset the space for the following week’s operations.

Mission Ballentine gave students hands-on opportunities to serve others while learning the value of teamwork, compassion, and community outreach.
