Many players swing too flat because they let their arms follow their body’s rotation. Instead, think of your arms swinging more up and down.
-
At the top of the backswing, notice how high the hands are over the back shoulder.
-
Imagine a line drawn through the back arm pointing toward the ball you’re aiming to hit—this helps keep the club on plane.
Winter Golf Tips:
-
Keep a pair of gloves handy to stay warm and maintain grip.
-
Store your clubs indoors when not in use—warm clubs and balls perform better.
-
Warm golf balls fly farther, and shafts flex more consistently in the cold.
A few simple adjustments can make winter golf more comfortable and help you maintain proper technique!
