Recently, before the rain storms, we had to play the pitch shots to fly high to stop the ball from running too far past the hole. This method is a little harder to pull off than the standard lower pitch and run. 1-we open the club face to increase the clubs loft. 2-we open our stance to aim left to offset the ball going toward the right. 3-we put more weight on the right foot to not swing so much on the downswing. 4-play the ball more forward, to increase the loft even more. A real fun shot when you pull it off, but make a bigger swing than normal, not to come up short.
