IRMO — Fans of soul and rock music can celebrate the legendary sounds of Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner this Saturday, Jan. 17, at Harbison Theatre, when acclaimed vocalist Alfreda Gerald takes the stage for a special tribute performance.
Gerald brings decades of international performance experience, having shared the stage with artists such as Cher, Celine Dion, Sir Elton John, Whitney Houston, Yanni, and Warren Haynes. Her career has included appearances at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including Royal Albert Hall, Madison Square Garden, the Sydney Opera House, the Acropolis, and Wembley Stadium.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alfreda Gerald to Harbison Theatre,” said Executive Director Kristin Cobb. “Her ability to honor the legacy of Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner while bringing her own power, soul, and authenticity to the music makes this performance truly special. It’s a celebration of two iconic artists and an extraordinary vocalist who knows how to command a stage.”
Tickets for the performance are $40 for general admission. Students, seniors ages 60 and older, and military personnel receive a $5 discount on Signature Series shows at checkout. Group discounts are available for purchases of 10 or more tickets, and bundled discounts are offered when buying tickets for three or more shows.
