Highway Patrol seeks info on fatal hit and run

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking information about a Fatal Hit and Run July 18 in which an unknown vehicle was traveling west on Interstate 26 near Exit 106.

The vehicle struck a pedestrian around 11:45 pm causing fatal injuries and left the scene at I-26 West near St. Andrews Road (106 mile marker) in Lexington County.

Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the victim as Sierra Lachelle Parker, 23, of Columbia. She was in the westbound lanes when she was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.

The make and model of the hit and run vehicle is currently unknown. The vehicle may have front end damage.
