Hundreds of Irmo residents gathered on Tuesday, December 2, for the Annual Irmo Tree Lighting held at Irmo Town Park, located at 7330 Carlisle Street.
The celebration featured festive performances by the Nursery Road Elementary School choirs, who sang Christmas classics and presented holiday monologues in the style of “letters to Santa.”
Santa Claus arrived in grand fashion aboard an Irmo Fire District fire truck and spent the evening listening to children share their Christmas wishes. Guests enjoyed plenty of hot cocoa, cookies, and complimentary slices of pizza provided by the Town.
The community event marked the official start of the holiday season in Irmo and brought families together for an evening of music, treats, and Christmas cheer.
