Irmo Celebrates Little League World Series Teams with Community Event

IRMO – The Town of Irmo hosted a community-wide celebration on Wednesday, September 3, at Friarsgate Park to honor the four Irmo Little League teams that competed in the 2025 Little League World Series.

The event began at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. for vendors and volunteers. Families enjoyed an evening of food, games, and family-friendly entertainment as the community came together to recognize the players, coaches, and families who represented Irmo on the national stage.

Mayor Bill Danielson said the night reflected the outpouring of support for the program.

“Our Irmo community has so much pride in our local youth baseball program—especially Irmo’s 2025 Southeast Little League Team,” Danielson said. “We had an incredible response from local businesses and restaurants, and we couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate together.”

Food and Fun for All Ages
The celebration featured a foam party on Field 3, a bounce house provided by Palmetto Storm Cheer, a mini golf course from CNY Attractions, and a fire performance by entertainer Ben Brawley. Children enjoyed face painting, arts and crafts, karaoke, cotton candy, and more.

Food vendors included Maurice’s Piggie Park, Whataburger, Texas Roadhouse, Bubba’s Pub, Carolina Wings, Cheesy Pint Pizzeria, Chickenbutt Donuts, Kona Ice, The Cheesecake Hut, and Marco’s Pizza. Many donated food to players and families, while proceeds from sales benefited Irmo Little League.

A True Community Effort
Organizers said the celebration was about more than baseball—it was about celebrating the community spirit that helped make these achievements possible.
