Irmo, SC – On Tuesday, August 27, the Town of Irmo hosted its annual National Night Out at the newly named Moore Park off Lake Murray Boulevard. Sponsored by the Irmo Police Department Community Foundation, the event provided a unique opportunity for residents to engage with local law enforcement officers in an evening filled with entertainment, community spirit, and relationship-building.
The festivities included free food, games, live entertainment, and various law enforcement displays featuring the Irmo Police Department, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Irmo Fire Department, SLED, and others.
Originally scheduled for August 6, the event was postponed due to the potential threat of inclement weather from Tropical Storm Debby. Despite the delay, the night was a success, bringing the community together to foster stronger bonds between citizens and the law enforcement agencies that serve them.
