Mathias Sandwich Shop was the recipient of a check from the Irmo Future Growth Corporation that was set up to help businesses who suffered financially during the past year due to COVID-19.
The Irmo Future Growth Corporation was conceived by Councilman Danielson and supported by the council to help ease costs during this time of hardship. $250,000 was earmarked for the grants by the town and more than $100,000 has been distributed throughout the community to local businesses.
