The Irmo Fire District is excited to announce the addition of three new probationary firefighters: Probationary Firefighter Doran, Probationary Firefighter Bodie, and Probationary Firefighter Bosinski. The trio was pinned on Friday after completing a challenging 2-week Recruit Academy and have now joined their respective shifts.
PFF Bodie, a 2024 graduate of the Lexington-Richland School District Five’s Center for Advanced Technical Studies Fire and Rescue Program, spent his senior year as an intern with the Irmo Fire District. The department is proud to be the only fire district in the Midlands offering an internship program where students can earn high school credit while gaining hands-on experience at one of the firehouses.
Congratulations to these new firefighters on beginning their careers in service!
