On May 13, the Irmo Police Department held their annual employee appreciation ceremony and awards banquet.
During the ceremony, several officers were recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the entire year of 2020. A number of officers that received awards were not able to attend the ceremony, but will be recognized by Chief Dennis at another date.
Although the year was out of the ordinary with the coronavirus pandemic and other controversial topics across the country, work never slowed down for IPD and first responders in general. These awards and their recognition are just a fraction of how officers interact on a daily basis with the community.
