The Town of Irmo Events Committee is partnering with Mary’s Mobile Market to host a community chili cook-off Saturday, March 14, at Moore Park.
The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the Prisma Amphitheater, located at 7473 Church St., and is free to attend. There is also no entry fee for chili competitors.

Local cooks will compete for trophies awarded to first-, second-, and third-place finishers, along with a special First Responder Trophy. The Irmo Police Department will look to defend its title against challengers from the Irmo Fire District.
Chili tastings will be available to the public for 50 cents per ticket.
In addition to the cook-off, attendees can browse artisan vendors with Mary’s Mobile Market and purchase handcrafted pottery from McGregor Presbyterian Church, with proceeds supporting local community initiatives.
The afternoon will also feature music from a DJ, along with refreshments including iced coffee, tea, and mini doughnuts from Beat the Heat Lemonade & Sweet Treats.
Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together for a family-friendly afternoon of food, shopping, and entertainment at Moore Park.
