The Multiples of the Midlands (The MoM Club) is hosting its much-anticipated fall/winter consignment sale this Saturday, August 17, from 7 a.m. to noon at St. David’s Church in West Columbia. This bi-annual event is a treasure trove of gently-used children’s items, all offered at significantly reduced prices.
Organized by volunteer members of The MoM Club, the sale features a vast array of merchandise, from clothing (sizes preemie to 20) and shoes to books, toys, and essential baby gear. Shoppers can also expect to find larger items like cribs, toddler beds, changing tables, and rockers/gliders. Each item is carefully inspected by Quality Control Inspectors to ensure it meets high standards before being put up for sale.
“Parents of multiples often face the daunting task of outfitting their homes and children at once, which can be costly,” said Lauren Cook, a member of the M.O.M. Club. “This sale is a fantastic opportunity for families to save money on essential items, while also enjoying a wide selection and friendly, helpful volunteers.”
In addition to providing families with affordable options, the M.O.M. Sale supports the activities of The MoM Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to families with multiples. The club offers various forms of support, including monthly meetings, playdates, a “Preemie Closet,” and more. A portion of the proceeds from past sales has been donated to local charities that benefit children and families.
“Our members are passionate about giving back to the community,” said Amy Ruple, another M.O.M. Club member. “These sales allow us to support other worthy organizations while helping families save on the necessities.”
The sale will be held at St. David’s Church, located at 132 St. David’s Church Road, West Columbia. Doors open at 7 a.m., and with large items selling quickly, early arrival is recommended. Admission and parking are free.
