LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified a man who died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 26 in Lexington County September 7.
Robert Edward Dove, 42, of Easley, was walking in the roadway near the 105-mile marker on westbound I-26 in the Columbia area of Lexington County when he was struck by a vehicle at approximately 4:10 a.m.
Dove was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
