On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the Municipal Association of South Carolina (MASC) hosted its Annual Training Session in Columbia, where individuals were acknowledged for their graduation from the Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government. Special recognition was given to those who had successfully completed the Advanced version of the course.
Four mayors were honored as graduates of the Advanced Municipal Elected Officials Course:
- Mayor Cindy Campbell: Town of South Congaree
- Mayor Tem Miles: City of West Columbia
- Mayor Bill Danielson: Town of Irmo
- Mayor Pro Tem Tim James: City of Cayce
