Melba Jean Blevins, 95, of Chapin, passed away on August 8, 2025, at Generations of Irmo.
Funeral Services was held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial was private at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory in Asheville, NC.
Born on August 17, 1929, in Damascus, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora Belle Wilcox Milhorne. Mrs. Blevins was a faithful member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed volunteering, especially with Sharing God’s Love. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family. Her hobbies included tending her flower garden and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Blevins; granddaughter, Rachel Spoltore; and four siblings, Marie Blevins, Faye Hopkins, Alma Sprinkle, and Billy Milhorne.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Hyder (Gerald), Becky Ayers, and Holly Kozub (Frank); three grandchildren, Ashliegh Walker, Cameron Ayers, and Shauna Robey; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor Spoltore, Uriah Walker, Cora Walker, and June Ayers.
