MUSC Opens Women’s Health and Imaging Center in Columbia

COLUMBIA — MUSC Health has expanded women’s healthcare services in the Midlands with the opening of its new Women’s Health and Imaging Services facility on September 2.

The center offers advanced diagnostic technology, including two state-of-the-art Hologic 3D mammography units for both screening and diagnostic imaging. Additional services include ultrasound, CT echo technology, and a dedicated procedural suite, designed to support early detection, faster diagnoses, and coordinated treatment planning—all under one roof.

The care team features breast surgeon Dr. Hart Parker and breast radiologists Dr. Jeanette Fulton and Dr. Chandra Baker.

“This center is about more than just technology—it’s about bringing women in our community the care they need, when they need it,” said Dr. Parker. “By combining leading-edge imaging with surgical expertise and a patient-first approach, we’re making it easier for women to get answers quickly and begin treatment without delay.”

Matt Littlejohn, CEO of MUSC Health–Midlands Division, noted the wider benefits of the new services:

“The opening of our Women’s Health and Imaging Services is an exciting milestone for MUSC Health in the Midlands. It represents our commitment to increasing access, improving outcomes, and ensuring women receive compassionate care close to home.”
