The historic Putnams Landing on Lake Murray is having a makeover and preparing to open back up for business. The popular marina closed shortly after Lake Murray was drawn down to accommodate the building of the backup dam in 2005.
The marina is in a shallow cover and couldn’t reach the water during that time and eventually went out of business. The new owners are adding dry storage, wet slips, food truck, maintenance and administration offices with an addition of 60 new boat slips. All the old buildings are being removed and everything will be new and fresh.
Putnams Landing is located at 1202 Putnam Drive in Chapin.
