This weekend finds four Irmo Little League state championship teams competing for a spot in the World Series in three different states.
The Irmo juniors and seniors baseball teams and the seniors softball team open Southeast Regional play in three different states.
The Irmo baseball seniors will open at 2:15 p.m. Friday against Fleet Park Little League (Va.) in Safety Harbor, Fla. The junior team will also face Fleet Park at 3 p.m. Friday in Bridgewater, Va. and the intermediate (50/70) team meets Destin Little League at 7:30 p.m. in Kernersville, N.C.
The Irmo softball Seniors will face Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Friday in Salisbury, N.C.
On Tuesday, both the Majors baseball and 11U team played in their respective championship game in Florence and Greenville, respectively.
