Richland County’s Fire Marshal’s Office has earned the title of a Fire Safe South Carolina Community, a designation that recognizes its strong commitment to public safety and fire prevention.
The honor comes from the Fire Safe South Carolina program, a statewide initiative focused on reducing fire-related injuries and promoting fire safety education. Communities that receive this designation have shown dedication to identifying fire risks, educating the public, and working actively to protect residents.
“This recognition highlights the hard work of our fire service professionals and their efforts to keep Richland County a safer place to live,” said county officials.
The Fire Marshal’s Office will continue to partner with local schools, neighborhoods, and businesses to spread awareness and prepare residents for emergencies.
