Sharing God’s Love recently held its 16th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament raising more than $21,000. The Spur at Northwoods hosted the event and provided lunch for the eighty-four golfers. The event was sponsored by fifty-two businesses and individual contributors. Thirty-three merchants contributed various prizes and awards. The golf outing is one of three fundraisers conducted each year. Spring and fall yard sales also provide additional finances needed to help sustain the charitable service.
Sharing God’s Love, a 2022 ANGEL Award Recipient, has provided assistance to needy families in the Irmo, Dutch Fork, St. Andrews and Ballentine communities since 1984. During 2024, 3,800 families totaling 11,664 people, including 623 new clients received assistance valued at $1,502,508 plus $1,402,596 in assistance to other agencies.
Sharing God’s Love is located at 147 Friarsgate Boulevard in Irmo. Operating hours are Monday – Friday from 9 am – noon for clients and donations.
