Signing Day for local athletes

Early Signing Day was a significant milestone for several student-athletes committing to play at the collegiate level:

Irmo High School

  • A.J. Brand (Football – Virginia Tech): The Shrine Bowl quarterback signed alongside his father and head coach Aaron Brand.

  • Lilly Grace Moore (Softball – Wingate University)
  • Mia Burgess (Volleyball – Benedict College)
  • Merryck Brackett (Volleyball – Newberry College)
  • Michaela Fairwell (Basketball – University of California San Diego)
  • Elgin Sessions (Football – Georgia Tech)
  • Josh Smith (Football – University of South Carolina)

River Bluff High School

Stephen Collier (Football – East Carolina)
Tripp Bryant (Football – Georgia Southern)
  • Stephen Collier (Football – East Carolina): The tight end secured his spot on the Pirates’ roster.
  • Tripp Bryant (Football – Georgia Southern): The Touchstone Energy Bowl punter committed to the Eagles.

These signings highlight the dedication and hard work of these student-athletes as they advance to the next level in their sports careers.
