St. Andrews Woman’s Club kicked off the 2020-2021 club year with a social gathering at Irmo Community Park.
Members wore masks while practicing social distancing and were happy to see each other after more than a five-month absence.
A history of the suffrage movement was presented to recognize the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote. Members wore yellow sashes and yellow roses were used to commemorate the historic event with the meaning of each explained during the program.
Marian St. Clair, International President of GFWC, and Kristin Fields, State President of GFWC-SC, were in attendance. Women interested in joining this civic group should contact any club member.
