The third time proved to be the charm for Dutch Fork wrestler Jason Stocker.
After back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2024, the senior grappler captured his first state championship at the South Carolina High School League Individual State Wrestling Championships held at the Florence Center.
Representing Dutch Fork High School, Stocker defeated Indian Land’s Josiah Fogarty by decision to claim the Class 5A 132-pound title.
The victory capped a dominant senior campaign in which Stocker entered the tournament ranked No. 1 in his classification. After two seasons falling just short of the top podium spot, he closed his high school career with the long-sought championship.
