As the Irmo Little League Intermediate baseball and Junior softball teams got ready to travel to its respective World Series destinations, a third team earned a berth Tuesday.
The Seniors defeated Virginia 9-4 in Safety Harbor, Fla. to claim its third consecutive Southeast Region title.
They now make their return to J.B. Red Owen Sports Complex in Easley for the weeklong Senior League Baseball World Series taking place Saturday through Aug. 2. The Seniors have a first-round bye and begin play Sunday

The same day is when the Irmo Little League Junior Softball team opens World Series play in Kirkland, Wash. It will face the Latin American Region at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

On Monday, the Intermediate 50/70 World Series starts at Max Baer Park in Livermore, Calif. Irmo will face the California D57 champion out of Danville, Calif. at 10:30 p.m. EST.
All of the games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
