On December 1, Angela Valvasori, representing Westinghouse SURE, presented a generous $1,300 donation to Liz Harris of Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church. Westinghouse SURE, an organization of retired Westinghouse employees, is dedicated to supporting local charities through community involvement.
The donation will directly aid Seven Oaks Presbyterian’s mission to provide warm, nutritious meals to individuals facing food insecurity in the area. Every Sunday, volunteers from the church and nearby neighborhoods gather at Seven Oaks on St. Andrew’s Road to cook and serve meals, offering both nourishment and a sense of community.
Harris expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing the importance of these funds in sustaining their weekly efforts. Valvasori noted that SURE is proud to partner with organizations making a meaningful impact in the community.
This donation will help ensure that meals continue to be available for those in need, fostering hope and connection during the holiday season and beyond.
