Whitt Cline retires after 25 years of service

Irmo Public Service Director and Arborist, Whitt Cline has officially retired from his duties with the Town of Irmo. Cline has served for 25 years with the town and has brought a transformation to the Town of Irmo through his knowledge as an arborist and his ability to create and design  works of art out of green spaces. His dedication and vision is evident along the tree lined streets and blooming flowers so often associated with the town.

As Cline secured the induction of Irmo as a ’Tree City USA’ designation in 2009 and continues it to this day.

The Town of Irmo recently honored his legacy by renaming the Irmo Town Park to the Whitt Cline Community Park. At a town council meeting in March while surrounded by friends and family Cline was presented with this lasting remembrance to his service.

The Whitt Cline Community Park is located at 7330 Carlisle Street.
