Youngest Real Estate agent in South Carolina

“On June 2, I graduated from Dutch Fork High School,” said George Schodowski. “The following morning I was dropping off my paperwork at the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to become a real estate agent.”

At the tender age of 18, George Schodowski has become the youngest Real Estate Agent in South Carolina. While still in high school he worked with David Kafitz of EXIT Palmetto Real Estate Services who helped him co-found both the New Horizons Teams and The Cola Guys – Real Estate Podcast for the Average Joe. Schodowski continued working on the courses needed for a real estate license and passed the exams before he graduated from high school.

Schodowski had always enjoyed looking at houses, whether on Zillow or other home search sites and as a result in 2020 his interest led him to intern at EXIT Palmetto Real Estate Services. His duties included researching homes on the MLS, creating flyers for the agents and other menial tasks. Soon he was going to networking events, helping run career nights, creating and managing the social media, doing drone photography and interacting with clients. He took to studying at home in the evenings to try and learn more and more about the business. He read books and watched videos about real estate sales and marketing.

Schodowski didn’t shy away from his school work either. He continued with activities in school playing varsity football and baseball and was president of the Key Club among other clubs he was involved in. And, on top of all that, maintained a 4.0 GPA. He plans on attending Southern Wesleyan University where he is signed on a baseball scholarship. George plans to continue working with David Kafitz on their business ventures while in college.“More students should follow their interests and passions when considering their futures,” said Schodowski. “I’m grateful to have found mine.”
