IRMO – The Irmo Fire District recently welcomed Mrs. Kathy Morganelli and Mrs. Denise Morganelli Stewart for a touching visit and a generous donation to the Al Morganelli Scholarship Fund. Established in 2021, the fund honors the legacy of Mr. Al Morganelli, a long-time member and cherished friend of the Irmo Fire District.
Created to support Irmo firefighters and their families, the scholarship helps cover tuition costs for firefighters’ children—continuing Al’s unwavering commitment to service and community. During the visit, Mrs. Morganelli also brought one of Al’s original helmets, a powerful symbol of his dedication, character, and the enduring impact he had on all who knew him.
The Irmo Fire District expressed deep gratitude for the Morganelli family’s ongoing support and for keeping Al’s spirit alive through this meaningful cause.
