WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center (BLEC) is launching Project SAFE, a new pedestrian and bicycle safety program aimed at children of all ages.
The program focuses on teaching kids how to:
- Follow traffic safety rules
- Build confidence while walking and biking
- Stay active and healthy through physical activity
“Pedestrian and bicycle safety saves lives,” said Dr. Cindye Richburg Cotton, BLEC’s Executive Director. “We’re proud to offer a program that makes a real difference in the communities we serve.”
Class Schedule:
- Wednesday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m.
- Thursday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, February 26 at 6:00 p.m. (Spanish-speaking session)
