Callie Farrell crowned Miss Capital City

Callie Farrell of Irmo has been selected as Miss Capital City 2022 and will compete for the title of Miss South Carolina June 25 in Columbia at the Township Auditorium.

Farrell is a 2018 honor graduate of Irmo High School. She was active in numerous service organizations, held leadership positions, and received awards during her four years including Student Body President, the James Francis Byrnes Leadership Award, and was crowned Miss Yellow Jacket 2017. She volunteers with The Ronald McDonald House, Cocky’s Reading Express, and the Carolina Clemson Blood Battle.

In 2019, Farrell founded Blood Connects Us All, where she not only works to elevate blood donations, she also educates people about the importance of blood donations and encourages them to do so. Farrell will graduate from the University of South Carolina in May with a degree in Mass Communications.

Should Farrell be crowned Miss South Carolina she plans to spend her year of service promoting her platform Blood Connects Us All and elevating the number of blood donors across our state.
