Chapin Labor Day Celebration Kicks Off August 30 with 3 Days of Fun

The town of Chapin is gearing up for its annual Labor Day celebration, set for August 30 through September 1, featuring events for all ages and interests.

The festivities start on Saturday, August 30, with the popular Fidelis 5K organized by Fidelis Family Retreat. The race begins at 8 a.m. at Chapin High School and offers a great way to support local veterans and get some exercise.

On the evening of Sunday, August 31, head to Beaufort Street starting at 6 p.m. for the Boots on Beaufort Country Concert. The event will feature an opening country music act followed by a performance from headliner Jackson Truluck and the Gravel Road Show. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, dancing shoes, and enjoy food vendors before the big celebration on Labor Day.

The highlight of the weekend, the annual Labor Day Parade, will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 1. The parade route runs along Chapin Road from United Homes to Lowes Foods and features Grand Marshal Coach Vicki Williams.

Immediately following the parade, the Labor Day Festival will take over downtown Chapin with food trucks, local vendors, live music, and the Classic Car Show at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church.

There is still space for parade entries and select vendors interested in joining the celebration. Those wishing to participate can find more information and sign up at chapinsc.com/269/Chapin-Labor-Day-Festival-Parade.

This family-friendly event promises a weekend full of community spirit, music, food, and fun to celebrate the Labor Day holiday in Chapin.
