Chestnut Hill Plantation hosts annual Neighborhood Crappie Tournament

The annual Neighborhood Crappie Tournament at Chestnut Hill Plantation was held on Saturday, April 13, featuring fishing in the private ponds within the CHP Neighborhood. The event was proudly sponsored by Trina Winde from Exit Realty and Lake World of Lexington, making it possible for 20 teams to compete.

Despite challenging windy conditions, the teams eagerly cast their lines into the water at 7 am, with the weigh-in commencing promptly at 1:30 pm. Despite the tough conditions, the teams demonstrated their resilience, bringing in some impressive catches to be weighed.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the tournament was the participation of neighborhood kids, who had a blast catching fish and enjoying the outdoor experience. Trina Winde and Lake World were especially thanked for their efforts in fostering a love of fishing among the younger generation.

Here are the results of the tournament:

1st Place ($100): Team Earhart/Vawter 2nd Place ($50): Team Stengel/Rodgers Biggest Fish ($50): Team Monroe Smallest Fish ($25): Team Sandsted Top Youth Angler (Rod and Reel with Tackle Box): Team Stengel/Rodgers

A special thank you was extended to Jeremy Catoe for hosting the event, which undoubtedly brought joy and excitement to all participants.
