The Town of Irmo installed a dedication plaque last week for the town clock located at the corner of Woodrow Street and Lake Murray Blvd. in front of Domino’s Pizza.
The town clock was unveiled in 2024 by the Irmo Future Growth Corporation which is a charity created by Mayor Bill Danielson to support businesses in the town along with economic development. The clock itself is dedicated to the memories of Louise and Furman Younginer who both served the town for many years. Mayor Younginer served from 1961 until 1977 and his wife Louise served as the town clerk.
