Columbia Registering for Mayor’s Walk Against Domestic Violence

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Registration is now open for Columbia’s 19th annual Mayor’s Walk Against Domestic Violence, set for Saturday, October 25, at Page Ellington Park, 2220 Gregg Street.

The event, held each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, encourages residents to unite in raising awareness about abuse and supporting survivors throughout the Midlands.

Registration is $5 per person at https://form.jotform.com/241543640380148. All proceeds benefit Sistercare, an organization providing advocacy, shelter, and support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Community members and businesses can also support the cause by becoming event sponsors, with each sponsorship level offering perks, event tickets, and recognition opportunities.

In conjunction with the walk, the city is hosting its third annual Toiletry Drive from August 1–October 25, and two Sistercare Saturday events on August 9 and September 13 from 10 a.m.–noon at Boyd Plaza during the Soda City Market.
